Any one staying over the night before at Heathrow if so fancy meeting up?

I am booked on this trip too. I don't need to stay at Heathrow the night before but I am interested in the rodeo and ranch.

If by upgrading you mean the flights I have already upgraded my flight out but at the time of booking there were no upgrades available for the return flights.

Just under 12 weeks to go now, not that I am counting down!!! See you soon.

Nice to hear from some else going on this trip. I did mean the upgrade for the rodeo. There is another lady interested by the seems of things on the tour manager forum by the name of Pat. Jacq did this trip and this is what she said-

(I did this trip in April. Most of the group waited until we were in Texas before booking the Rodeo Upgrade, however, we couldn't upgrade as they said we'd not given them enough notice, bearing in mind this was our 2nd night in Texas. We found something to eat nearby before going to the rodeo but I'd recommend eating sooner rather than later as it gets very busy around the stockyards. I'd also recommend taking a light jumper/cardi as the air conditioning in the arena gets very cold after a while even though its v. hot outside. And you absolutely must try the frozen margharitas at the bar in the Stockyards Hotel.I'd be happy to answer any other questions if you have any!)

So i guess if we want to do an up grade for the rodeo looks like we should be able to do it before we go. It would be nice to know that someone else is doing this as i dont fancy upgrading on my own!

I wasn't aware we could upgrade for the dinner but I would be more than happy to upgrade. I always prefer organising before a holiday to make sure all is well. As this will be my 1st JY holiday I'm not sure of how these things work but I assume if there are enough of us wanting to book an upgrade before hand JY should be able to organise it.

I have asked Olly on the ask your editor forum and he said yes you can upgrade. You should receive notification of extra trips you can do whilst you are out in Texas and New Orleans. One of them is the rodeo and all you have to do is ring JY here and they will book the extra trips for you. I think there is another lady that wants to upgrade as well so thats three of us then!!

Dont worry about it being your first time you will really enjoy yourself. This is my 5th one with just you and they have all been fantastic and you meet some really lovely people.

having read your last couple of postings, I am interested in the Rodeo upgrade, whatever it is. If you are going to travel that far you might as well make it worthwhile. Do we contact JY now or when we receive further literature.

Been to Texas and New Orleans before, but not done any ranching etc. so still quite looing forward to it.

Just you rang me back - they cannot book the rodeo upgrade unless there is a minimum of 10 people wanting to do it - so I've just booked the basic at the moment.

Thanks for letting me know that, thats a real shame, but unless people look at this forum then they wont know about the up grade because i dont think when you book the extras the reps will tell them that, lets hope we can get 10 together. I think there are a few others interested. It would be better to book it this end as a lady that went previously couldnt up grade when they got there it was all booked.

Nice to hear from you. Pat actually spoke to JY and we have to get at least 10 people interested in it before we can book the up grade, which is a shame, because not everyone comes onto the forum. I think i may ask Ollie for his advice see if he can come up with anything. Cant wait now its coming around pretty quickly just over nine weeks to go.
