I am a new member too, I have booked for tuscany, I would not worry as we are all on our own on these holidays thats why we book them. Unfortunately I am not from Ireland but from. Newcastle. My approach is nothing ventured nothing gained, better to regret trying something than regret never trying. Go for it

Hi Michael,

Im from NI, have had 2 great JY hols to Austria and am off to Croatia in September. There is a post called Northern Ireland on 27 June but little response though I know there are others out there.

Just pick a hol you fancy and go for it. There's loads of feedback on the community on specific hols and general points. On my hols age range has varied from 30ish to nearly 80 with women outnumbering men. Most people are their on their own for various reasons and keen to mix. The group is together for most meals and excursions so you won't be on your own though with single rooms you can have time to yourself if you need it. There's always a JY rep on hand too.

There's no direct flights from NI but JY can book connecting flights and seem to block book seats from the departure airport so the group get together straight away. There's also the bright turquoise JY luggage labels which can be spotted a mile away!!
