Hi fellow travelers, have just booked first single holiday to Tuscany on 6th October. Traveling from West Midland to Gatwick, and wondering if anyone else has booked the same holiday from this area, or if anyone has already been.

I went to Tuscany last October. Thoroughly enjoyed it - very tiring but well worth it. Do all the trips, especially to Lucca (which was an optional excursion last year). If Vanessa is your Tour Manager, that will be the icing on the cake! If like last year, it will be a crack-of-dawn departure (about 6.30 am at the airport) so I would recommend staying overnight at a hotel at Gatwick unless you can persuade someone to drive you down in the early hours.

I have booked the Lucca trip so that sounds good, I am used to exhausting JY holiday's.. My flight takes off from LGW at 11.00 am so thats a good time for me. My tour manager is NOT Vanessa. Thanks for your comments

I have return from Tuscany tour last night.

I must say the weather was so hot 90-95 made it a bit awkward for long days out touring but we all just survived. 35 people in the tour group and we all mixed in well. I DID NOT do the Elba Tour but those that did said it was well worth going on, but I did all the rest, stunning buildings, Churches, Catherdrals and great ice cream shops .!!!!!!.

Hotel was very noisy as road works were going on building a new pedestrian walk road, but that should be finished any day. Kids all hang out at the cafe opposite but this is weekend time., they were not naughty just having fun!

Really nice family feel to the hotel staff were very good. Bedrooms all clean and tidy, but a little dated for my taste. You are not in them to much so not to much of a problem Hotel is right on the beach.

A nice tour to go on and scenery is very pleasant and the days out are worth going on.
