Oh Hi Beany,

I have booked this for Sept 2011. The MS Zeiderdam wanted people who are singles to book early as they have limited cabins for single people (they are actually double cabins but for singles). I have raised the level of my cabin to one with a picture window as the one included in the holiday has no porthole or window. Me friend upgraded to one with a partial view obscurred 1/2 by a lifeboat but I went one higher & got one unobscured. You can go completely mad, if you look online, & have whirlpools etc & suites, but not for me.

I have a friend who went on the same hol in Sept this year & she has given me a ton of tips especially about the cruise, so just ask if you want any info. She told me what amounts of money to take & in which currency & how much she took overall. There are over a 100 trips available on the cruise bit & she told me the very best ones AND to book them the minute you read the itinerary which is delivered to your cabin daily - she said RACE to the bookings desk as on some of the trips the places are limited.

They saw bears & one catching a leaping salmon!! wowee

Hi Michael,

I live at Kennford, just at the bottom of Telegraph Hill.

I went on the South African Explorer in Feb this year - simply loved Cape Town - we were lucky enough to find a window in the cloud to go up Table Mtn without the "tablecloth" hanging over it. The winelands trip & down to see the penguins & Cape of Good Hope & game drives were the best part. It pissed with rain all the way along the garden route & we could hardly see a thing from the coach amidst a wall of mist & spray! I hope you have learly morning stamina as 2 days running we were off at 4.30a.m. for the whole day & we all kept dozing off!

On the whole you'll love it all.

I'm going on their Festive Germany over Christmas.
