I would not worry about the lack of response, to your particular trip.. In my experience of trips, You will probably find that the majority on the trip dont actually look at this site for whatever reason. In my past 8 trips, I have foind out of all the group, there is probably only about 3 to 4 That actually use it.

Thanks for your contact at any rate. I travelled with Just You last year on the Prague, Vienna and Budapest trip and had a great time. As you suggested though, it doesn't seem as if many others make use of the website.

I shall be interested to hear how you get on with the Austrian Lakes visit and keen to learn any tips you may have.

I received a letter this morning informing that my departure is to be from Heathrow and not Gatwick, and going to Munich and not Salzburg. I shall need to unscramble an overnight booking that I had already made at Gatwick now!! Hey, ho!

That is interesting, As i am also meant to be going from Gatwick, However I have already made arrangements and paid for car parking and hotel at Gatwick, I hope they let us know soon. This is my first time flying with Just You.

I am also going on this trip in May and to date have not been informed of any change of airport. I too have car parking and hotel booked at Gatwick so this could be a problem for me. I understood that Gatwick was the only option when I booked this trip.

With regard to you having little response to your initial message, I agree with Andy that not that many people are aware of or use this source of contact for many reasons. Also you may find people wishing to make contact nearer the time of the trip. So don't give up hope - I can assure you that your travelling companions are out there.

I know Andy will give some feedback from our trip - and probably photos too. I know you will enjoy yourself.

I have received information from JY about my trip in May and there is no change of airport. I am still flying from Gatwick and it gives the flight times. So there is obviously a good reason for the change in your flight. I hope you get it sorted out without too much trouble.

Thanks for your concern. Glad you haven't had the hassle of change of airport. I gather that the change for my trip was because of British Airways and not Just You.

At least there was plenty of time to sort things and I had paid the extra £2.49 cancellation cover when I booked my original hotel at Gatwick. That meant I got the main expense back.

I have now repeated the exercise to secure a hotel and parking at Heathrow so am just keeping my fingers crossed that it won't switch back again.

In fact Heathrow is more accessible for me as I shall be travelling from Gloucestershire and won't need to approach the M 25!

I have just booked to go on the Austian lakes trip in July, so you won't be alone! They informed me on booking that there was a change of departure airport, but failed to tell me we are flying to Munich until I recieved my travel documents. It is over 2 1/2 hours away from Weyrigg, but I suppose on the bright side at least we will get to see the countryside from the coach windows!

Many years ago I stayed at a lake in Slovenia in the summer and I had forgotten until now that I was eaten to blazes by insects! I will be packing lots of insect repellent this time!
