Arequipa and El Misti Volcano, Peru? Probably wrong but that's what it reminds me of.

It reminds me of El Misti Volcano in Arequipa, too

Hey Will you have left us (almost) in the dark for long enough now, how about some more information or some more photos please?!!

Cheers,

Bob

PS I'm wondering about that Alaska pic (if that's what it is) - I'm hoping that means the Alaska cruise add-on to the Canadian Rockies tour is being reintroduced? If it was, that would be a sure fire tour for me next year! If not, is it a separate Alaska holiday??

Also, do you have any plans to revamp the JY Thailand tour (I know it was tweaked for this year, but the itinerary doesn't appeal - the TS one is so much better - if JY were to adopt that itinerary with a Laos add-on, that would be a dead cert for me too!!

Hi Bob,

everything is still work in progress so I don't want to say too much because sometimes things don't come off and I don't want to upset anyone!

the pictures were:

Alaska

a French vineyard (near to a French Chateau)

Planet Earth

Guatemala

Burma

no cruises to Alaska still I'm afraid (single cabin allocations are just so hard to come by!) so we have taken matters into our own hands!

Hi Will,

Thanks for the reply - sounds like a possible tour of Alaska then so! Burma sounds intriguing, as does Guatemala - I wonder are you planning a JY version of the TS Central America tour? I'd be very interested in that except that I only did Costa Rica/Nicaragua last year! And no comments about Thailand/Laos - ah well, perhaps I've got you thinking if nothing else. We will have to wait and see...!

Cheers,

Bob

As forthcoming as always Will, no surprises there then! I thought you might be bringing back 'Around the World' but......'Planet Earth' hey. Are we going to be launched into space so we can view the world from afar I wonder?? And who knows, with a powerful telescope we may even be able to spot that French vineyard near to a French chateau!!

Well if you like Central America, but have already done CR&N then you may like the new one!

Thailand hasn't been very popular for a little while now so we will have to have a rethink on how to make it popular again!

Just wondering, JYWill, whether you have any plans for new holidays which would have dates we teachers can make? Please?

Hi Will,

Your Central America comment has got me thinking and wondering!! I was also very interested in your Thailand comments - I think the current TS tour is spot on, except for staying on the raft by the River Kwai which doesn't appeal to me but that wouldn't put me off doing it. I think Chang Rai is essential to any Thailand tour and a Laos add-on would be the icing on the cake. The current JY tour seems to have been scaled back from the previous version and 5 days at Cha Am to my mind doesn't add anything to the tour! Just my thoughts, I'm sure others might disagree!

Thanks for your reply,

Bob

No Will, a little is very annoying as well you know, you just like winding us up!

As for Alaska, hiring a fleet of rowing boats now are we?? No, but seriously, after watching the current BBC2's Alaska - Earth's Frozen Kingdom, I would be very interested in a land holiday to there, I'm not a cruise person so Alaska has never been an option for me in the past, I await with interest on that one along with Guatemala, they had better be good after all this suspense.

Hi Avocet,

I have spent a little bit of time over the last couple of weeks with the Holiday Creators who have put these new tours together - I think they sound incredible (but then I might be just a little bit biased)

They will be included in the next brochure which your friendly postie will be delivering towards the beginning of May.

Kindest regards,

Hi Julia,

That all sounds very exciting; I can't wait for the new brochure to see what Will and the team have come up with!

I'm excited to see Alaska on the new list, was thinking of doing this with solos this year but will hold off! I too loved the Alaska BBC2 docu.

Madagasca is also on my to do list, what about Malaysia as a destination? A new and improved Thailand would also be on my agenda, I haven't been yet and liked the old version better-silly me thought it wasn't a trip that would disappear/not run!

So I'm still deciding what my next holiday is although polar bears are definitely calling me and I've been buying winter thermals etc in the sale in preparation!

Alaska wow. Have done it on a cruise but would love an over land trip. So many highlights. Fabulous scenery, whale watching, Yukon railway, and a never to be repeated flight in a float plane. I might even be persuaded to endure very long flights for a chance to go back.
