Hi Stuart,

we do already offer that facility. If you speak with an advisor they will help you work something out.

Thanks

Can you look at adding flexibilty to your holidays please.

I appreciate that a number of JY clients just want the "standard" holiday, and that's fine.

But, as people become more widely travelled, there are an increasing number who want to use the holiday as a "start point", building on additional time in the city/country, and are happy to make all their own arrangements for this extended stay, with no need for a Tour Director around.

I understand that doing this may not appeal to some of your clients, but by adding flexibilty to the JY standard package, I believe you will appeal to large numbers of people who at the moment don't use JY.

When I went on the New Zealand tour . One man went out about 3 days earlier and there were a few people we left behind., 1 lad spent another three weeks touring in his own and making his own way home....and about 3 others were linking up with family out there staying for 2 or 3 weeks etc.

there are quite a few holidays with JY where there is an add on, I did this on the Kenya Safari, which was very nice to just chill, some went out and about but I really didn't? Also on the Canada USA tour I am taking later this year I am doing a New York add on, there will be no rep and make your own way to airport. I do like this to be with a tour but also have a bit of free time to explore.

I think on most holidays if you wanted to make your own way home it could be sorted out.

For long-haul destinations JY holidays tend to be too short with travelling taking up a significant part of the break. For short-haul, shorter breaks are fine.

Hi DavidG

I can agree with you that Long Haul destinations with JY that travelling take up a siginificant part of the holiday. A 40 day JY holiday to Singapore, Australia and New Zealand in 2012 was infact cut down to 36 days with flying time back and forth. That does not include domestic flights between countries and states. Also not included is coach time between destinations.

Also I found that Day 1 of the holiday leaving from Heathrow started at 2230 when our flight left. Our arrival in Singapore was the evening of Day 2, so really our holiday did not start till Day 3. Returning from Christchurch, N

Z our final day was day 38, flew home on day 39 of the morning in Christchurch arriving back in the UK the early hours on Day 40.

Really not a 40 day holiday at all !!!!

Although must say the excitement of travelling and the holiday is an experiance not to be missed and really is part of the holiday.

Well Mark,

I would suggest keeping an eye out for the new brochure at the end of April.

Hi Julia,

I didn't receive an email invitation, either. I had already registered to receive emails but have registered again.

Seems as though there might be gremlins somewhere in the works!!

Regards.

Hi Denise,

Leave it with me - I'll get you back on the list.

We're aware that there are some issues and we are trying to get them fixed at the minute.

Kindest regards,

Julia

A lot of your long haul tours are too short in my opinion. After travelling such a distance at least a 14 night stay is warranted, would be even better if it was one or two more. I am reluctant to go on an 8, 10 or 12 night tour on long haul.

I have to add on £150-ish for a connecting flight, and in some cases £60/120 for a night or two at Heathrow. I therefore do not go on your European tours as they are too short to warrant this add-on.

I agree with some of the comments above that the tours are getting very expensive for the average person thus I expect not as many people are booking as in the past. I went to Cuba about 5/6 years ago and it took me 3 years trying to get it as it had to be booked over 6 months in advance (not always possible for me to do this). Nowadays there seems to be no problem getting booked nearer the holiday.

I would not be adverse to lowering the standard of hotels to 3* to make the tour cheaper. A company in Dublin offer a 3* or 4* option, or a deluxe and standard option on hotels to certain destinations. They also offer solo friendly holidays which are very reasonably priced, they do not have the choice that Just You do but are adding more all the time.

Dear Julia

I've been reading your 'thread'. I, too, have signed up on more than one occasion to receive communication from Just You and it's never happened. I never received the online questionnaire regarding the Sicily tour earilier this year although I know someone else on the tour did get it.

I would like Just You to reinstate the Morroccan tour where you visit the major towns - Fez, Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakesh & the Atlas Mountains.

Just returned from the Spirit of India tour which was wonderful, a mixture of amazing and thought provoking sights.

Hi Janet,

I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed your recent Spirit of India tour with us, was there a particular highlight for you?

I've asked my colleague to look into this and it appears at some point in the past, when booking online, you have opted out to receive mailings from Just You and unfortunately this has not been overwritten with your subsequent mailing preference to receive communications from us. My colleague has now opted you back in and you should now receive mailings from Just You but please let me know if not.

As you may know JY Will who is our chief holiday creator regularly monitors the forum, listening to where our customers want to travel, so all ideas whether to new destinations, new experiences, or asking for tours to be re-instated are welcome!

Kindest regards,

Julia

Done,

My only comment is some of the long haul i find too short, a week or less isn't enough for me to justify travelling outside europe.

I have to agree that you lose at least a day at each end of the holiday traveling to and from your destination so the long haul holidays are not worth doing for only one week.

I love the JYway of doing things, but often struggle to find a holiday which appeals in the school breaks. So I have ended up travelling on my own which I don't like or repeating holidays, which isn't so great either - Apulia and Garda so far, with more to follow no doubt! My suggestions:

1. I'd love to see longstanding holidays refreshed with new excursions so that there's something new for people who have already been on that holiday. Apulia for example could visit say Bari which I'm told is great, Austrian Lakes could head to other towns or cities.

2. I've made the plea often, but it would be great to have just one or two new locations in the school hols. In 2015 I miss a couple of attractive locations by about 3 days. So frustrating!!
