Anyone thinking about, or already booked, to go to Sri Lanka and contemplating getting your own visa; it is so easy to do it yourself. I applied for mine on a Sunday www.eta.gov.lk and wasn't surprised to receive an automated reply but a couple of hours letter my letter of approval was there too. No photo required, only $35 (approx £28) and you are never without your passport - so no expensive recorded delivery postage fees either.

Now counting the days...!

P.S. Did the same for Burma; service was just as good and almost as quick (think the approval came within 24 hrs) but did have to upload a photo for that.

Hi Deb

Please write a review on your return from Sri Lanka. I was planning to do this trip next year, but Kenya Safari won so will probably do it in 2018 (hopefully it will not be rested then). I was planning to get my own E-Visa for Sri Lanka. Am going to do it for the Kenya trip as well.

Hi Jaya

I'm going with Travelsphere as they had the best dates for me; think I may be the only single, so will see how that works out...

Have wanted to visit Sri Lanka for a long time but, like most of us on here, other places kept pipping it to the post...!
