I will shortly be travelling with Air Canada for the first time and may use them again in 2015. I currently only belong to the British Airways Executive Club and gain points and miles on their scheme.

So the question is, as I don't believe Air Canada is in the same partnership group as BA, what scheme should I register with?

I think Air Canada is part of the Star Alliance group.(United,Lufthansa and Swissair,amongst others)To be certain check Air Canada's website.
