Hi everyone

I am wondering what clothes to take with me. This is my first long haul trip to a hot country. Can I get things laundered at the hotel and is it expensive ? Will it be cool in the evening ? I would welcome any advice.

I know someone who is on this tour at the moment, so when he gets back I shall get him to post an answer to you.. What a great trip you have picked. I have not been on this tour but have my 9th booked to Florida

Clothes will depend on the weather which varies greatly from Hanoi to Saigon. Have a look on the following web site:- weather2travel.com and this will give you a good idea. I went in Jan and it was 10 degrees in Hanoi and 37 in Saigon.

With regard to washing, when you arrive at the hotel in HoiAn a lady will arrive on a scooter take your clothes away returning them the next day washed and ironed. She charges $2.50 dollars per kilo in weight. Much cheaper and better than using the hotel. I think the Tour Manager or local guide arranges this. Have a great hol it's a wonderful place.

Hi Sue

If you are on the tour departing on April 3rd, I am the Tour Manager on the tour so will be with you throughout.. The previous responder is correct and I will ask the laundry lady to pay us a visit in Hoi An. As for what clothes to take, I suggest casual clothes and layers! It can get chilly in the evenings in the north, but on the whole it is warm and very humid and we usually get some rain somewhere along the way.

I look forward to meeting you

Lynne
