I don't intend to write a full review as Jaya's previous one does this full justice. ( see A Kenyan Safari- Kilimanjaro to the Masai Mara 12-20th Sept. 2017)
This trip is a must for everyone, ignore the expense of this 9 day holiday it is well worth it and not to be missed. The only slight downside was a lack of animals at the Aberdare Highlands resort's water hole (we may have just been unlucky) but at least we got a magnificent view of Mount Kenya as the sun rose. However we saw 4 of Kenya's big 5 only missing out on the leopard. We had magnificent views on 3 occasions of cheetahs and several prides of lions. The wildebeest were in the Masai Mara in their thousands no doubt preparing for the migration before the rains came. Fortunately we only had rain (but it was quite torrential at times) on the way back to Nairobi so it didn't affect the holiday.
There was one slightly hairy moment when we suffered a puncture in the middle of the Masai Mara, we were of course not allowed out of the vehicle, and Gilbert, the driver, had to change the wheel. The only problem was a lone buffalo (very dangerous on their own) who seemed ready to attack us. However one of the other vehicles came to our rescue and the driver was able to place his vehicle between the buffalo and ours. Disaster averted.
Praise must be given to the TM Trevor Gibbs who had to go above and beyond the call of duty to 'nurse maid' some on the trip. An excellent TM.
There was of course Gilbert our fantastic local guide and driver whose uncanny ability to spot animals whilst driving tricky roads was unbelievable and his driving to get us out of the Rift Valley on what must be one of the world's 'death roads' had to be experienced to be believed.
As I said previously a great holiday, don't miss it.
