Hello all,

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size with a safe, iron and board but (in my room at least) did not have any drawers or cupboards to put my clothes in just a few coat hangers.

Breakfast was buffet and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

The beach was at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort but there was a shuttle bus about every half an hour also you could walk to the beach in 15/20 minutes past the shops and many restaurants, beach towels are available from the reception. It did rain, mostly at night and only for about half an hour, so it did not spoil our holiday and in a way was refreshing because it was HOT 30c day/ 27 night.

Among the tours I enjoyed were the rain forest, the sunset on the pirate ship and the rum distillery.

All in all a good holiday with tours and plenty of time to do your own thing as well, with 18 of us in the group it was just a nice size and everyone mixed very well, Caroline the TM looked after us and did a great job of organising the trips.

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your review and glad you had a good time. I'd been put off this holiday because there seemed to be very few excursions and as I am very fair, I can't afford to lie on a beach! Would you say there were enough excursions offered if you wanted to be kept fairly busy but didn't want to bake on the beach all day?

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks for the review, I like the sound of a visit to a Rum Distillery!...

Hello Bob,

According to the brochure there are excursions from day 3 to 5, the two most interesting, for me anyway, are the included ones, one full day the other half day, which cover the rain forest and the sea on a catamaran, as well as a chance to take a dip under a water fall. The sunset trip starts at about 4.30 until 7.30 with food and drink included and is on a pirate ship not a catamaran. There are some trees growing on the beach for shade so you don't have to lay in the full glare of the sun. I did forget to mention that some of us got bitten so insect repellent is a must especially in the evening.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the review. This seems like a nice holiday - time to relax and time for excursions. Like Bob I am not a beach person and would get bored if it was only a beach holiday. Hopefully one day I will get to go to St Lucia, if only to relax after all the hectic tours I seem to be doing!

Hi Dave

Thanks for the review. I am looking to book this holiday for next year. I was originally put off by this holiday as there was the option to upgrade to the sister hotel being a 4 star which to me could split the group. As only one dinner included what were the arrangements for evening meals and how did you find the cost of drinks, lunches and dinners?

Thanks

Eve.

Hi Eve

There is a very good selection of good restaurants close to the hotel no more than 10 minuets walk including Italian, Chinese, steak house, Mexican and more, all at very reasonable prices.

I believe there were four who did the upgrade, it not seem to affect the group at all.

Dave.
