Morning all,

Just a very brief report back on this wonderful holiday. Magpie's post of 27th May was very comprehensive, so I can't add much to that!!

However, the hotel was delightful, small but very welcoming and the staff were always on hand to help and advise.

Tour Manager, Jonathon, was a great help, very amusing and quite, quite charming. I think one of the girls in the group fell madly in love with him.

The only problem we had was the weather!!! On the day trip to Sienna we were absolutely drenched from the minute we left the coach until we got back on again!! We had everything ~~ rain, freezing wind, thunder and lightning and hail. Just like England.

One of the group started with a cold a couple of days into the holiday but by the time we were leaving, I think we'd all succumbed to one extent or another. Naming no names but he works for a very well known furniture company in the North West.

So for my pains, I was poleaxed for more than a week after my return. Won't put me off going back, though. I'd love to see Tuscany in better weather and I'd certainly return to the hotel. Well done JY for choosing such a lovely, well serviced hotel.

I'm away to Mijas for Christmas, so at least I'll more or less know what the weather is going to be.

Thanking all the group for making me welcome, look after yourselves and, who knows, we may meet again some day.

Happy travelling.

I agree having been there a few years ago, it is a very good holiday, and someone always FALLS in LOVE with Jonathan,

PS when I went in either March or May it was scorching in fact a little too hot for being a tourist!

Sorry to hear about your weather!

I'm off on the 3rd October departure so I'm not expecting hot weather.
