An incredible educational journey. Fantastic trip. On the go from start to finish. Lots of early starts and late finishes. Good hotels and good range of food. Continental two pin adaptors worked, hotels will also help with this. Ladies all hotels had hair dryers. Rupees can be bought at LHR and at all hotels. One tip when leaving the country heading home we were told to change rupees before going through passport control at Delhi airport as they weren't accepted in duty free. Wrong. They are accepted once you have passed through passport control and can be spent in most shops. Tips are expected - the tour rep collected monies and enveloped up for distribution throughout the trip. Fascinating country and friendly people. Ranthambhore National Park was amazing and we were extremely lucky in getting a glimpse of a Tiger, awesome! We met up with a group from Page & Moy and they were not so lucky.

Our tour Manager, Roberto, was exceptional.

Hi Silverbubbles Thanks for all the info about the Spirit of India trip and I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I'm going in March and was really hoping someone who had done it would give some feedback. What you wrote is very helpful as it is a lot of the sort of things I'd been wondering about. Thanks!

Comfy shoes a must and something warm for first thing in the morning and again when the sun goes down it got very cold, but then it was December!! Hope you enjoy the trip as much as I did. Look forward to hearing your feedback.. Safe journey

Thanks for the useful advice silverbubbles, I'm on the March trip to India so will bear in mind everything you've said.

I'm really glad you had a great time, it sounds like a fascinating holiday.

How did you find the food? Did any of the group suffer from the dreaded 'Delhi belly' ?

Some did, but not all. Immodium was a must although nobody was really bad. As regards food, there was plenty of choice, so just be careful. Also take hand sanitizer and use it all the time especially after handling the money. Wipes were also useful especially when using the loos, and carry tissues!! Bottled water is readily available everywhere, even use it to clean your teeth. Hope this is useful, and glad to help.

Hi Jean, I'm going on this trip next month and someone on another thread said that there was a choice of Indian and European food, spicy and non-spicy, so you should be fine!

All the best,

Bob
