Well I've just got back after a great holiday in the USA.

The Golden West tour is very busy and there's lots to see. San Francisco was a great place to start the tour.

Carmel is a nice place to visit and you can go and dip your feet in the Pacific Ocean.

The highlight in LA for me was visiting the Hollywood Bowl. The Universal Studios are good but are very busy and you struggle to get round many of the attractions.

The Palm Springs part of the tour was the least interesting for me. The arial tramway tour is worth doing with some excellent views.

Vegas is surreal. I booked to go and see the Rat Pack show. I, like most of the rest of the group who went to this, did not rate this show too highly.

A trip to the Grand Canyon from Vegas is well worth doing.

Kim Valencia was our tour guide. She is a very experienced guide and did a great job informing everyone about everything.

The hotels were generally pretty good, with only the Palm Springs Travelodge being a little disapointing.

I was lucky enough to do this tour too. I agree with Clive that it was a full on tour. Palm Springs for me was the least interesting and the hotel was basic.

San Francisco was amazing, Carmel beautiful, L A superb and Las Vegas entertaining.

A group of us booked show tickets in Vegas for 'Le Reve' which was breathtaking.

Kim Valencia was an excellent tour guide, who kept us all in order and provided many laughs along the way!!

The whole group got on really well and I for one will be looking to do another trip. (Please more in school holidays JY)

I have just got back from this holiday too - and agree with everything Liz & Clive have said above.

It really was a fantastic holiday (was my first Just You trip), the whole group got on well and had such a laugh.

There is so much to see & do so be prepared to be kept busy! To quote our fab tour manager 'its not a vacation its a tour!'

Palm Springs was the least interesting place for me too, not a good hotel and not much to do. One night would have been more than enough and I would rather have had an extra night in San Francisco.

Thanks to Kim & my fellow travellers for helping make it extra special.

re: America's Golden West July 18th 2011

At the risk of being repetitive, I wholeheartedly agree with all the comments previously made. It was my first Just You trip too and I was very impressed. The tour was hectic, but wow, we did see and do an awful lot in a short time. It was certainly memorable!

My only mild criticism is also over the Palm Springs motel and I agree, an extra day in San Francisco would have been great.

I would thoroughly recommend the "Le Reve" show in Vegas - it was outstanding! I didn't go on the Grand Canyon trip so can't comment on that but I enjoyed a day on the Vegas strip instead i.e. shopping in Venice, lunch in Paris and admiring the fountains at the Bellagio in the afternoon.

Thanks to Kim & Vlad (our excellent driver) for such a brilliant time.

My best regards to all fellow travellers!

Great holiday for my first with Just You. Repeat previous comments on another day in San Fran would have been better. Even tho we had a full on time, our guide was informative as well as amusing. I think this is an ideal introduction to travelling with your company.

Overall a positive experience. I would go again tomorrow.
