This is a reply to Sylvia who has booked to go to Vietnam. I went there in February 2006 and had a fabulous time. Hanoi in the North is quite different from the south, and less Westernised, but be warned, it was so cold there on arrival that we ended up wearing everything we had travelled in, including the flight socks! Quite a contrast to Saigon, which was 35 degrees when we flew down there.
