I have just return from the Prague Vienna and Budapest trip.

First must say as always JU did not send request to the hotel that there are vegetarians on this trip so there were not much for those people to eat.The second thing to complain about is the guide (if that was is job) John. He was so loud like a bully teacher , rude talking to adults like they are children. I have been on other trips with JU and this is the first where all of the group though this man was not doing his job. Most of the group was over 60 and this man could not or would not help any one off the coach. The information when he gave any was a waste of time, he had not been in the area for some 15yrs but still he could not be bothered to read up and say any thing.

Prague Vienna Budapest is worth visit the guid for Prague was a waste of time he should not be used again.

Hi Olivine,

This may have been better posted in a thread of its own, but I am happy to reply in this thread.

Thank you for your comments, and we are making a full investigation based on them and those from another customer. We are also waiting on the feedback from the questionnaires that were sent out late last week so we can then take necessary action.

In regards to the vegetarians, we only had one passenger who mentioned they were vegetarian. The requirements that were provided to us were quite vague, which is unfortunate as this is the only information that is passed on to the TM and agent

I hope you weren't put off booking any future JY holidays because of this experience, we are always looking for ways in which to improve our holidays so your reviews are invaluable.

Kindest Regards,

Monty

Can I say I am a vegetarian who has travelled on 11 JY tours across the whole world, JY are always notified that I am a vegetarian and it is on all my paperwork, but can I stress that JY cannot guarantee that I will be catered for sometimes it's not possible, the included meal at NASA on the Florida tour was one I couldn't possible eat, when I mentioned to the tour manager and the staff at NASA there was no room for a change so I went hungry, as a vegetarian it is my problem not JY totally if there is not a meal I can eat. I make sure I always have snacks etc to hand to nibble on if need be.

Only once on a long haul flight it hadn't been noted that I was a vegetarian ( airline mess up ) so as I couldn't eat the meal I went hungry the tour manager got right on it and sorted the home coming meals out there and then.

Some countries just do not get the concept of vegetarian meals, I have had some weird and wonderful meals dished up to me, some would be classified as vegetarian but NO WAY could I eat them.

All I can do is let JY know and hope for the best.

Cindy
