Hello. With the time in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, could you advise on what percentage of Euros and Swiss Francs to take on the Alpine Europe trip please. Thanks.

Hi Bridget,

I've had a look at the itinerary for how long you're in destinations:

Days in Austria or Germany (Euros) – 2 days

Days in Switzerland or Liechtenstein (Swiss Franc) – 3 days + arrival and departure days.

So just looking at the above, you will need more Swiss Francs rather than Euros. Or you could choose to have a credit card with no charge for using abroad.

Also for the day you go to Liechtenstein, our Tour Managers have given the following advice:

• It’s possible to pay by Euros in Liechtenstein, however, exchange rate may not be very good

• They suggest to shop for your lunch in Austria before crossing into Liechtenstein as it’s cheaper

I hope this is helpful.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Little tip re Liechtenstein, make sure you get your passport stamped! You can do it at the ticket office for the little road train in Vaduz!
