On the subject of walking holidays, which JY seem to be highlighting more and more, a few weeks ago I suggested that walking holidays should not only give the distance and time of walk but the gradient/difficulty of walks and terrain.  I have as yet not had a reply to my forum question.  I did the walking holiday in Yorkshire Dales last year and whilst it was within my capacity a few others struggled.  I do not have a head for heights and therefore cannot do walks with steep drop etc. and would like to know in advance if a walk contains conditions like this.   I would also say that the walking holidays in Britain seem to be very expensive - I was SO glad of my voucher for £100 off last year - it made it do-able!  I would only book a JY walking holiday if I had more details of the walks - thank you.

I have had no comment re the above post? Dont think JY are taking the walking holidays seriously so will probably go with another company...pity...

We are looking at including more details in our future brochures. As we're still in the planning stages of this I don't have firm details yet, but our team that organises the holidays is seeing what we can do.

We would say that if there is a trip you're interested in, but unsure about the gradients/distance etc, please do give us a call and our advisers can look into it for you, in the meantime.
