I'm looking to do the China tour but have a few questions.

What type of food is served? Is it western or Eastern? And is it diabetic friendly?

Also is the Yangtze river add on a Continuous cruise or do you stop off at places?

Thanks in advance

Hi Paladin,

Starters are usually cold and consist of lightly pickled vegetables, chicken and peanuts. Main courses often include dishes of pork, chicken, duck, fish and vegetables.

Meals generally finish with rice or noodles, and there's not usually a dessert but fruit is sometimes served. Chopsticks will be supplied with each meal, but a few restaurants will have cutlery available. Meals are traditionally served on a 'lazy Susan' turntable.

The tap water in China is fine for brushing your teeth but we would recommend you drink bottled water and ask for drinks to be served without ice.

We cruise through the Three Gorges Dam, and then onto the Xiling, Wuxia and Qutang Gorges, a stop will be made in order to take a side trip down the Shennong Stream, a tributary of the Yangtze.

Shore excursions during your cruise include a trip to Shibaozhai is known for its impressive wooden pagoda, which was built without any nails, and is appropriately named "The Pearl of the Yangtze." It is considered one of the gems of Chinese architecture.

Thanks,

Vickie
