Hi there

Is there any reason why some tours use airport lounges and some don't. I thought it maybe only the long haul trips, but I have 2 booked and no lounge is included??

Thankyou

Penny

Hi Penny,

All long haul trips should have a lounge included.

Kind Regards,

It might be not all departure airports have this facility..

I am sure there is one terminal at LHR that does not.

Thanks. Leaving Heathrow T2 on Monday for Vietnam. Will call the office to see why there is no lounge.

Hello Penny,

There is definitely a lounge in T2 at Heathrow, so you should have received a lounge pass. SarahS is right that an exec lounge has recently opened in T5, which didn’t have one previously. So, I would ring JY and ask why you haven’t received it - if you have a printer at home you could get them to email it so you get it in time.

Cheers

Mike

BTW, to access the exec lounge in T2, pass through security, turn left and take the escalator to the ground floor. Turn right and the lounge is straight ahead at the end of the corridor. Hope this helps.

Made the call and no Lounge being given.

You only get the lounge if the airline offer it complimentary, as part of the booking package. It isnt something that Just You  organise at all.

Very surprised, thought it was a Just You nice touch.

I hope when I go to Antarctica, and pay 11k, it will be thrown in!!!

Check what the brochure says.  I had this with my Mongolia holiday,.  I was told no lounge but the brochure said there was and I got a pass.  If you are on Discover Vietnam the website says lounge included.

Hi Penny,

I wouldn’t accept that explanation from JY! As Jonah says, the ‘Discover Vietnam’ tour on the website and on page 184 of the new brochure clearly states ‘use of airport lounge in the UK’.

No it's not in the brochure, but being a 13 hr fly, plus a stop at Bangkok, I would assume this would class as long haul.

Was told on the phone it was generally only if you fly with BA as they give complementary lounge access, not Just You. Have had lounge when I flew with kenya airlines, United airlines and Cathay Pacific when using JY.

Disappointed

Hi Penny,

Following our email correspondence, I can assure everyone that airport lounges are included on all Just You long-haul holidays.

So Penny just to clarify do you have a lounge pass or not, as the impression Amy is giving is you HAVE got this facility. Personally I would have thought Vietnam would be classified as Long Haul..

Hi AbbaDave

As we like to be with you every step of the way and make the start of your holiday a fantastic experience, that is why we have our airport representatives to help at check-in and the airport lounges so you can relax before that long-haul flight. It is Just You that organises the airport lounges on behalf of our long-haul customers, not the airlines.

Kindest regards

Glad you got it sorted but it shouldn't be this hard. Customer service advisors should know this.  Hope you have/had a great holiday.

Best wishes

Looks like there is another confusion about airport lounges! Amy is right in that Just You offers the use of a lounge, where available, on all long haul flights - anyway this is and has always been my impression.

Amy,

When I went to Hong Kong in 2016 I wasn't told that I'd be the only one going from Heathrow, there was no one to meet me at the airport and no one in the lounge. This was very daunting as it was my first ever foreign holiday and flight and I had to find my own way through the whole process so it doesn't always work the way you say! What I did have though was a nice introductory email from Alison Bissett the tour manager just to say that she'd be at Hong Kong to meet me. I must say that first impressions weren't too good but the quality of the holiday made up for it.
