Having watched Wild Alaska Live on the BBC I really want to visit Alaska. Unfortunately I cannot make the Ultimate Alaska trip in September because of other commitments. Will you be offering this trip next year?

Hi Jim,

I have just managed to grab the holiday creator for the Ultimate Alaska tour who has advised that we are going to be visiting Alaska in 2018, however the current itinerary is being reviewed. Keep your eyes peeled for the new itinerary soon.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia,

I've been interested in doing this tour for a while now, but never got around to it. So it's great to hear that Alaska will still be on offer in 2018, and as such I have a couple of questions which I'm hoping that you can answer?

Will flights be available from Heathrow next year? I know that flights have been available from both Gatwick and Heathrow up to now.

Can you give us a teaser about the new itinerary please? I'm particularly interested in the possibility of visiting Katmai National Park as well as Denali National Park. Katmai, as I understand it, is directly accessed by air taxi flights from Anchorage, which I'm assuming would still be part of the new itinerary. I was wondering therefore, if there was a possibility of visiting Katmai, either as part of the new programme or as an optional excursion/add-on.

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike,

I'm going to be honest - at the moment, I can't answer any of those questions as the tour is still under lock and key with our holiday creators.

That said, I will pass on your post to them to make sure they are hitting the mark!

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia, I'm another interested in this holiday.  Will be interested to see your new itinerary.  But for me the drawback to date is the use of Icelandair - on long haul flights I book business class, and the Icelandair offering is rubbish. Would be happy to sort my own flights, but that's not currently possible either (option would be very useful so could add my own bits onto trips.)

Will wait to see, but suspect I may be booking elsewhere and not joining Mike on another JY trip.

Hi Julia,

Thanks for your reply. I really hope that departures from LHR remain an option because Gatwick is a real no-no for me.

Anyway, thanks for passing on my post to the holiday creators...I can't wait to see if they hit the mark!

Cheers

Hi Julia

This trip too is on my radar, but I will not be able to do it next year as have Australia and Burma already booked. Hopefully it will be on offer in 2019.

Good Morning JimS,

The holiday creators here at JYHQ are continuing to work on the itinerary so that it is of the best standard that it can be.

Kindest Regards,

Amy
