Hello,

I'm going to Croatia on 6th September. As I see the holiday is fully booked for this date, can you tell me the age range & gender numbers please.

Good Afternoon mrsd,

Yes- this holiday is indeed fully booked with 35 travellers. The group is made up of 4 men and 31 women and the age ranges from mid-50s to early-80s.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi Sarah,

Mildred has only listed the ages that are pulling through onto her screen - there are a handful of travellers whose ages are not displaying yet. Our IT team are looking into why this is happening at the moment.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thirty five is a very large group. I notice a number of tours this year have sold out with thirty five travellers. Is this a departure from the "we can take upto 30" information previously given?

Hi Julia/Mildred

What is the maximum you can take on the Flavours of Tuscany tours, and the minimum to give it the go ahead please?

Hi Sylvia,

We can take up to 30 travellers on the Flavours of Tuscany tour. Both the September & October dates have been give the green light to go ahead.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi SarahS,

Different tours/dates have different capacities based on a number of different factors. For example, many of our North America tours can take up to 40 travellers, and some of our more unique destinations, such as Namibia, will take less.

I would urge travellers, where the group size is an influencing factor in their decision making, to ask us either here on the community, or one of our holiday advisors how many travellers we can take on their chosen departure.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thank you Julia,

Glad to see it is up to 30.

I appreciate your answer. However, several times in the past I have been refused this information by your booking agents.

I'm sorry to hear that SarahS... ask us on the community - we'll let you know!

Hi Sarah,

Mildred has taken to saying "we usually take up to 30" on any tour when she's been asked how what is the maximum for a particular tour.  Not very helpful, as I've known full well that the capacity varies from tour to tour - and sometimes from one departure to another.

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thank you from me for this info.  Not sure who to believe now, but I have a strong intuition who is right!

My point exactly Bob. I don't consider JY American tours because of the group sizes. It's maybe a personal preference, but for me, a group of over thirty is just too big.

hi Bob, suspect what happened was that Mildred asked the Q in house once, that was the answer given for a particular tour, and she then assumed it applied across the board.  A bit frustrating.

Good Afternoon All,

The capacity does vary from tour to tour and I will be sure to let you know the maximum capacity of a specific tour when you ask me on the community.

I apologise for any confusion I have caused you.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi Sarah, I've been on 2 of the JY American trips.  Both had 17 people on them, which was a nice number.  I did the National Parks, Mount Rushmore and Little Big Horn trip and the Historic East trip.  I wouldn't like to be on a trip with over 30 either but think you can avoid this - I think I asked Julia for group numbers before I went ahead and booked.

Regards

Katy

I did the Discover Apulia tour in May, there were 23 of us, a nice number and very easy to get to know more people.
