Good Afternoon Rose,

This was correct at a stricter time; I have spoken to our visa team and they have advised that it is not a problem.

As long as they can see your eyes clearly, everything should be okay.

Feel free to take a set of photos without glasses if you want- there's no harm.

Kind Regards,

Mildred.

Passport photo insists you cannot wear glasses these days, but it's a pain going through check points as my glasses are always on, so I spend time having to take them off...

Yes I could not wear glasses for my passport which was renewed last year.  Total pain, so I am pleased for you that you will not have to remove them for visas.

Thanks Mildred for checking this out for me and for your quick reply.

As it's nearly April do you have an update on the Making River Cruise (November 2017) numbers please?  (I'm trying not to ask more than once a month!!)

Also do you know how many travellers are needed for it to get the green light?

Thanks for all your help

Rose

Good Morning Rose,

You are very welcome.

There are currently 12 travellers booked on this tour. We are feeling positive about this tour going ahead.

We usually take up to 30 travellers on a tour but there is no specific number for a specific tour to be given a green light.

Kind Regards,

Mildred.

Yes, your friend is right. I have never been in Vietnam. So I searched for information regarding this issue and I have found

General requirements:

1 - Face of the applicants must be at a neutral expression, without smiling or frowning.

2 - Your photos must be taken within 6 months of the application date. Dated stamp is not necessary but do not show a photo that is dramatically different from your current look.

3 - Photos must be taken against a white back ground and printed on quality photo paper.

4 - You can not wear any kind of glasses when taking these photos.

5 - Veins, hats and scarfs are strictly prohibited, and any other accessories that cover your ears or foreheads

I had a set of four  photos  taken without glasses as required,  when I renewed my passport.  I used the spares for visa applications,  then had another set taken for yet more visa applications, again without glasses. The only imigration points where  I have been asked to remove my glasses have been the USA for a retina photograph, and the automated e-passport booths at Gatwick and Heathrow.  After applying online for a Burmese visa, I  now have a copy of a passport photo saved  on my computer for future use,
