I know it's still a long way off but wondering if anyone is booked on the Wild Borneo tour for Sept 17?

Just returned from my first JY trip and thinking about the next before the nerves kick in again.

Also, does this tour normally sell out pretty quickly?

Thanks

Paula

Good Afternoon Paula,

I am so happy to hear that! How did you find your first trip with us?

There are 7 travellers currently booked on this tour and it is nearly sold out- It is a pretty popular tour.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi

Thanks for the info - sounds like I need to make a decision pretty quickly.

My first trip (Kenya Safari) was amazing, so glad I took the plunge. Everything was well organised and has definitely helped me make the decision to try another one.

Thanks Mildred.

Just one other question for now - What would be the maximum number of people on this tour?

Good Morning Paula,

It is difficult to say as the number always varies.

Hi

I've just come back from that holiday. It was Amazing. The best holiday I've had, it was my first too with JY and I'm not sure i'll be able to better it.

Hi Paula,

There were around 22 on our Borneo tour in May if that's any help to you, of which around 14 did the Singapore add-on.  Like all the tours this year it was sold out, so I would reckon you could have a similar number.  I hope you have a brilliant time and see as much wildlife as we did!

All the best,

Bob

Hi Paula

If I were you I would book sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Wild Borneo is a fantastic trip. If you enjoyed Kenya Safari then you will definitely enjoy Borneo.

Kind regards

Jaya

Well I've taken the plunge and booked Borneo for next September......

The website is saying only one place left, so hopefully no chance of it not going ahead.

Can you please let me know the Male/Female split and the ages ranges currently booked ?

Thanks

Paula

Good Afternoon Paula,

I am very glad to hear that you have decided to take the plunge. Your bravery is inspiring.

There are currently 9 travellers booked on this tour and the group is made up of 2 men and 7 women.

The age ranges from late-30s to late-70s.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

You won't regret it, Paula. I went in November and it was one of the best trips I have ever done. The jungle bit was fantastic and over far too quickly, but all the other things we did were really interesting too.

Hi

I've booked the main Borneo tour but now I keep going back and thinking about the Singapore Add-on.................

What is actually included with the Add on?

Is it just the Hotel or is there an itinerary/excursions etc included?

It would be stretching the funds to include this add on so just wondering if everything else would be on top of this aswell.

Thanks for any info you can give

Paula

Good Morning Paula,

Apologies for the delayed response.

If you look at page 18 of your Just You brochure, everything is stated there.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi Paula

For Singapore add-on we had a full day tour included. The hotel is on a bed and breakfast basis. If I were you I would definitely stretch my funds to do the add on as you may not get a chance later to visit Singapore. There is plenty to do and see. I think when I did the Borneo trip last May about 14 of us did the add on.

Kind regards

Jaya

So after lots of debating, various levels of research and lots of positive reviews on the forum I decided to find the money somehow and book the Singapore Add on....................

However I am now slightly confused - using the information online and in the brochure I spent time reviewing the Hotel we would be staying at locations and reviews etc - Brochure states Furama City Centre....(partly to justify the cost).

I have received my updated invoice and it states the Hotel will be the Jen Tanglin - Looking at the location it seems to be much further away from the main points of interest etc.......

The info in the Brochure was a big part of me making the decision and paying an extra £900 (that I probably can't really afford)

Why is the Brochure and the confirmation Invoice different??? Has there had to be a change in Hotel for some reason?

Good Morning Paula,

I am so sorry for all the confusion.

Sadly the Furama didn’t not get good reports from our customers and therefore a decision was made to change it.

The new hotel is located close to Orchard Road and the metro, with Singapore, it’s a city that has many different areas, but easily accessible with public transport.

Please contact our customer center if you are unhappy with this.

Kindest Regards,

Mildred

Thanks for the response. I see that the website has also changed now.

Initially looking at Map it seemed the new hotel was a lot further out and I was also abit concerned that the group would be split between the two hotels.

It sounds like there is a valid reason for the change - so I'll go with the people that know best. :-)

Its all booked now, so I'll be there whatever - Time to start preparing.

Hi

I am so glad you have changed from the Furama City Center Hotel in Singapore, i am one of those who complained, i stayed in this hotel on two occassions in the mid nineties and i must say it is just as shabby now as it was then, needless to say my main complaint being that i was kept awake till 4am on each of the three nights we were there due to a nearby nightclub, I am so unlucky as i have a noisy music neighbour living on the end of our block of flats and it was just like he was there with me, Boom Boom Boom all night, i left a note of complaint on departure last June and emailed the hotel on my return and they didn't even have the decency to reply, i am so glad JY listened and have changed the hotel, it got what it deserved

enjoy Singapore and of course Borneo

Dave
