Hi, I am travelling to Norway for the New Year.  It states that we will be having dinner on New Year's Eve then hopefully viewing the Northern Lights.  Can you advise as to what to wear?  Is the evening formal and do you need to change before going out to view the lights?  Also apart from thermals what clothing do you advise to take?

Thanks, Karin 🙂

Hi Karin,

Sorry for the delay I just wanted to double check the dinner details. I can confirm that since this is a special New Year’s Eve dinner it’s normal to dress nicely (dress/suit), but it’s not a formal dress code. You will need to bring warm clothes to go out and view the fireworks and northern lights.

We would recommend taking warm, solid shoes, hat, gloves, scarf and a warm winter jacket & trousers.

I hope you have a wonderful time

Julia
