Can you tell me how many people are going on the Polar Bear Experience 23 October 2016 age group & number men & women? This is my first trip with Just You & so far I am not totally happy. It has taken 4 months to get my Just You Community activated after very numerous requests. My Canadian Visa request forms are being very evasive as well with me getting different dates for arrival. Is this the norm for Just You or am I having a bit of bad luck? Will the holiday be better organised? Can someone please give me a bit of reassurance for my first holiday on my own?

Hi Kingsymum,

There are 17 travellers booked on this tour with the group made up of 1 man and 16 women with ages from mid-40s through to early-80s.

I'm sorry to hear that you have not been happy with the service to date. I have had a chat to our Visa team to discuss why you may have been given different timelines for receiving Visa information. If you are receiving all of your documentation for your holiday by post this is sent out around 15 weeks before you depart. If you are receiving all of your documentation by email, this information is sent out approximately 10 weeks before you depart.

I would recommend that you take around the forum and see what others have said about their Just You experiences and hopefully these will reassure you about your first solo travel experience.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hello Kingysmum

I went to Churchill to see the polar bears a couple of years ago and it was a fantastic trip. You will love every minute of it. Hopefully you will get to see some polar bears close to the vehicle. We went in November and it was the last tour of the season so we didn't get to see them up close. The group who travelled the day before us had some amazing encounters. It is just the luck of the draw. But we did see the Northern lights.

You will love the Lazy Bear lodge. Enjoy your trip

Regards Julie

Hi Julie

Thanks for your reply, you've put my mind at rest about the holiday & I'm really looking forward to it now.

I'll remember to pack my binoculars just in case the polar bears are in the distance.
