This is my first holiday on my own and to the Cilento Coast on the 5th June.

Is there anyone travelling out that day from Gatwick?

The reason I ask is that if you were staying over night at the airport, it would be nice to have a meal and a pre get together.

Myself and a friend will be travelling from Gatwick on 5th June. I'm not sure yet whether we will be staying overnight in Gatwick but it is something we are looking into.

If we are we would be happy to meet up. I can let you know. If not we will definitely be able to meet up in the morning.

I am travelling from Bristol so like you I am weighing up the odds whether to catch a very early morning coach straight to Gatwick, or stay over if there are enough people for a pre get together the night before.

Olive has raved about her holidays with this company so I thought I would give it a try and as she said it would be great to meet up with you at Gatwick. I too am on this holiday & still thinking through my travel options due to the early morning departure time. A JY friend of mine is planning an overnight stay, so depending on our decisions there is a possibility we could have a pre get-together.

I stayed at the Premier Inn North Terminal when I last travelled to Italy from Gatwick. It is very close to the Terminal and is reasonably priced.

It is a great idea to meet up if there are a few of you staying over. I have found the Premier Inn at the North Terminal is ideal. It is opposite the moving walkway up to Departures. The rooms are very comfortable and well priced and I have stayed there on several occasions. You can ask the Moderator to pass on mobile numbers if you like. On my first JY holiday I arranged to meet someone in Gatwick airport for lunch on the day of the departure and that way I knew at least on person on the trip!

I did this holiday last year and loved the area and the spa was wonderful! Enjoy.

I suggest that if you want to have dinner that someone in the group books a table as soon as you arrive at the Premier Inn. Dining room is very busy and we were offered a table at 10pm!!!

If so, I would opt for staying at the Premier Inn too.

My friend Sue & I are still discussing Premier Inn hotels, North or Airport Way (which saver rate is much cheaper at the moment). I will let you know once we have decided which one to book, but we would be happy to join you for a meal whichever hotel we choose as they are fairly close to each other.

We are looking at the Premier Inn North Terminal at the moment so hopefully will be booking it. As soon as we're sorted we'll let you know.

There are two Premier Inn's at the North Terminal. The cheaper one which is just a little further away, is still within walking distance of the terminal and is £35.00 for the night, as opposed to £74.00 for the other.

It is called Premier Inn A23 Airport Way.

They also have a shuttle bus from 4.00am. Worth considering?
