I AM THINKING OF GOING TO USA NEXT YEAR, DO YOU KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANY PROBLEM WITH US CUSTOMS IF I HAVE A ENTRY AND EXIT VISA FOR CUBA IN MY PASSPORT.

THANKS

Hi Ken,

There should be absolutely no issue with you travelling to America, with the entry and exit Visa for Cuba in your passport.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Ken

When I went to Cuba last year, the visa was a separate piece of paper so no stamp in the passport. Not sure if this is still the case.

Ken,

Sylvia is correct I've recently returned from Cuba and the passport wasn't stamped.

Even if it was you would have no problem with America.

I went to the US two years after doing the Cuba tour and had no problems apart from the usual surly Customs officials who always make visitors feel welcome. I also believe the US has now opened access to its citizens so you should be perfectly ok.

KEN,

I have had no problems entering the USA with a passport formerly used in Cuba.

It's a bit more complicated if you actually work for a US company, as I do in their UK branch, as there are substantially more laws that US companies have to comply with on behalf of their foreign-based employees such as the US's Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

My company's travel department advises against travel to countries that are on the US's sanctions list if I still want to be sure of getting into the US on the Visa Waiver Program [sic] as a US company foreign employee. Cuba is softening as far as the US is concerned (unless the Republicans get in next time who have stated they will go back to the way it was) so I may get the chance to go there at some point.

If you don't work for a US company this doesn't affect you.
