I am interested in this tour, but would prefer to avoid the additional expense of an overnight stay in London before departure. Please can you give me any idea of the likely departure/arrival times for St Pancras.

The departure time on the 27th November is around 11am and the arrival time on the way back on the 30 November is around 4pm. Please note, these times are subject to change.

Thank you. One more question, I notice that hotel in Lille is located in the business area. How far is this from the market site? Is transport provided from the hotel to the market? Finally how long are the journeys to Bruges and Ghent from Lille, and how long would we expect to spend in each city? What are the timings for the trip to Ypres? Sorry, that's a few more than one question. I would be grateful for the additional information but accept it may only be rovisional at this stage.

I have spoken to an overseas specialist here at JY, and she has been able to answer your questions.

The hotel is an easy 10-15 min walk to the markets, and transport isn’t provided.

For the length of journeys to Bruges and Ghent from Lille, and how long you will spend in each city:

Lille to Bruges - approximately 1½ hours in Lille and approximately 4½ hours in Bruges

Lille to Ghent - approximately 1½ hours in Lille and approximately 4½ hours in Ghent

The timings for the trip to Ypres:

Transfer from Lille to Ypres takes approximately 1 hour and see below for the itinerary for the day.

17.45 – Depart Hotel

19.00 – Arrive in Ypres

20.00 – Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate

20.15 – Free time for dinner

21.45 – Depart Ypres for return to hotel.

Please note that all of these times are approximate and depend on how busy it will be.
