Hiya, just plucked up the courage to travel solo for the first time and feeling very nervous and excited at the same time. Always wanted to visit Venice and wondered who else was on this trip? I've booked a gondola trip also, just wondering what to expect if any of you have done this before? What are the age ranges also? I'm 33.

Kind regards,

Hi Lady Valour,

No need to feel nervous - which I am sure your fellow travellers will tell you! For this tour, there are 18 people booked, with ages ranging from early-30's (you are not the youngest!!) and early-70's.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi

Have not done this trip but have visited Venice on a number of occasions. It is a fascinating city and you will only scratch the surface on a,short break. The Lido is a,great place to stay , has lots of nice shops and restaurants and it is nice to get away from the biz of Venice.

If you have time I would recommend a visit to Murano and Burano. If you are feeling decadent have a Bellini in Harry's Bar!

Have a great time

Lesley

I am going on the trip to Venice on Oct 8th. It is my first holiday on my own so I am a bit apprehensive. I am staying at the Ibis at Gatwick the night before as the flight is so early and I am 2 hours away. I am not 33 but I love the company of young people but I am sure there will be people your age. We will all get on in any case!

Best wishes

Pat

I did this holiday in February and loved it. Bassano is a lovely town to wander around when you have free time. The old town with its squares, shops and market days and the lovely bridge. It is only about an hour from Venice by train. We did one day as a group and then a few of us went back on a free day. The wine tasting/ lunch was a good trip too.

On the 2 holidays I have been on with JY I have really enjoyed the company and hope you do too. There is always a spread of ages but that does matter as you always find someone on the same wavelength!

I hope you enjoyed your first JY holiday as much as I did mine.'
