I'd be grateful if you could tell me how many people are booked for the February and March dates for this new tour, and male:female split, ages etc. I seem to be getting conflicting information when I phone up as to the availability with the Add-On on either date. Also (and I know they will be provisional) flight times and airline from Heathrow and return.

So for the February date there are currently 10 travellers booked, 2 men an 8 women with ages from mid-50s to early-70s

For the March date, there are currently 4 travellers booked, 2 men and 2 women with ages from late-60s to late-70s.

For each date we can take up to 25 travellers, however, for each date the split for the main tour and the add-on is different. For February we have allocated 11 places for the main tour and 15 for the main tour with add on and then for the March date we have allocated 15 places for the main tour and 10 places for the main tour with add-on.

Provisional flight times, with Malaysia Airlines are;

depart Heathrow 10:50hrs

Return Heathrow 05:35hrs

As you've already mentioned, this information is provisional and flight details would be confirmed in your final documents.

You have nabbed that second from last place!! At the moment, there are 16 travellers booked on this trip. The ages range from early-40's to late-70's - you are not the youngest by the look of things. There are 10 women and 6 men booked on departure date too.

I phoned JY a week last Monday enquiring about an upgrade on the flights and have yet to receive a response. However looking at Malaysia Airlines website it would appear they only offer Business or First Class so I think the upgrade will blow my budget. What I did notice is that the upper deck in Economy has less seats across the aircraft and appears a better area to be comfortable. I have always understood that with JY because it is a group booking that it is not possible to book in online - is this true and if so is it possible to be allocated one of these seats?

Do you know who you spoke to regarding the flight upgrades? I will get this looked into as soon as I get this information.

I spoke to customer services who were going to pass the request across to the flights section. Sorry I didn't make a note of the name,

It does take a few days for someone to get back to you re flight upgrades but they do get back. I think this is because they have to wait to hear from the Airlines. I decided to upgrade my return flight from economy to premium economy on the way back from the Mexico, Guatemala, Belize trip next March. Have not done this before so hope it is worth the extra cost. Unfortunately the airline is British Airways - I am not a fan of BA, but on the other hand I may be surprised since this is a long haul flight!

I have now had a response regarding flight upgrade and as I thought only Business Class is available which blows the budget and the extra would pay for another holiday. But it was worth asking the question and I was able to ask about seating too. So thanks very much for your help.
