Just back from the walking in Tuscany holiday and after enjoying getting the heart a lungs working with a bit of exercise have just been looking at what else is offer.

Spotted this holiday and thinking it may just be possible to squeeze it in with my plans i have a question.

What time does the train leave St Pancras ?

I can get direct trains to Kings Cross so its so easy for me to get there if the times are suitable so no extra overnight costs.

I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed this trip - I did see a photo of the group on one of the walks (which is now on the Facebook page).

In terms of Walking in the Ahr Valley this depends on which date you are looking at...

The late May date has a provisional time of 08:55hrs

The September date has a provisional time of 10:58hrs

As always, these are provisional timings and would be confirmed in your final documents.

Was looking at the May date but that would be too early for me as 9-13am (arrival at Kings x) is the first direct train from where live and would be looking to do it without having to do an overnight stay in London.

Maybe the Sept date will be ok but unsure yet as its a busy time of the year for me.

A few more questions -

1. How long before departure do you need to be at St Pancras to check in ?

2. What time does it arrive back on the return journey ?

3. How close to departure is the train times cast in stone (this is an issue if i travel on the day) ?

I'm so sorry for the delay on this one....

We say you should be there at least an hour before departure - that will give you time to get through the check-in process, pick up a magazine (if you wish) and take a stroll up to the platform.

The return time in the system is 16:03hrs (as always this is provisional, subject to change and would be confirmed in your final documents)

It is uncommon for timings to change once the final documents have been issued (as we tend to post them out so close to departure). That said, we are at the mercy or Eurostar and other suppliers, so if they were to make a last minute change, a member of our team would be in touch to notify you of this.
