Hi Julia,

I'm concerned that the Lake Ohrid/Montenegro holiday has disappeared from the website - is this a glitch or are all dates now under review or worse? Should I be looking at the brochure for a plan B??

All the best,

Bob

Hi Bob,

All dates on the Lake Ohrid/Montenegro holiday are currently under review.

At this stage your date of travel has not been cancelled - if this were to happen a member of the team would contact you directly.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Many thanks for the info Julia, I will wait and see what happens! I presume it won't be long before the team decide whether to continue with bookings or not?

Have a great weekend,

Bob

Hi Roger,

I'm currently booked for Sept! However I will need to know over the next couple of weeks if this date is likely to run or not - if it's still in the balance I'm planning on switching to the Travelsphere Tales of the Balkan Penisnula tour for their Sept date - it's two weeks long and visits six countries! It currently has 18 booked and 2 solo travellers, so it's looking like a good bet!

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks Bob, Will seriously consider this. Namibia is getting ever closer and really looking forward to it.

Hi Roger,

Yes the TS tour looks really good - visiting six Balkan states in two weeks and only £500 more expensive than the JY one week tour! I'm also very excited about Namibia and looking forward to seeing you then - we can compare holiday notes since the China tour!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Julia,

It's at least 10 days now since the Lake Ohrid tour went "under review" - I'm just wondering have the team made any decision yet as to whether they will continue with it? Or if not, how long is it likely to be before they make a decision?

Many thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

There have been some major flight changes which significantly affect the itinerary - at the moment the team are still working with our suppliers to see if there is anything that can be done.

There are low numbers on the date you have booked, and this coupled with the major change - is giving the team a lot to work on. Whilst it isn't a yes or no today - a decision should be made soon.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia,

I'm still looking at Plan B for the Lake Ohrid tour, namely Tales of the Balkan Peninsula (Travelsphere) departing on Sun 13 Sept. Can you tell me the maximum number for this tour, including the max number of solo travellers you can take? What are the approx. ages of the two single travellers already booked? It seems to be booking up fairly fast and if the Ohrid tour doesn't run, I don't want to miss out on this one! Can you also give me provisional flight times for the return journey - what time does it get in on Sat 26 Sept? If I'm going to do this tour I'd prefer to be able to get home on the Sat, rather than having to overnight at the airport so this may have a bearing on whether I book it or not!

Many thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

We can take up to 40 on this trip and at the moment there are 22 travellers booked. On this date we have booked for 4 solo travellers however, after the four have booked, it is sometimes possible for us to get some additional allocation.

The two solo travellers that are currently booked are in their 40s and 70s.

And finally the provisional flight times are:

Depart LHR (13 Sept) - 10:50hrs

Arrive LHP (26 Sept) - 10:00hrs

These times are subject to change and would be confirmed in your final documents.

Hope all of this helps.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia,

Many thanks - all that info is very helpful. I'm especially pleased that the TS tour gets in early on the Saturday, which means I should get home later that day if I go on it. Now I face a dilemma - the JY Lake Ohrid tour is still under review and, as I understand it, there are already two solo travellers booked for the TS tour on 13 Sept. I know you can potentially book more solo places if the four allocated are used up, but I don't want to be stuck and I'm not enjoying the current uncertainty! Can you check if I could switch to the TS tour from the JY Lake Ohrid one without penalty? I'd like to do this over the next few days if possible and it would at least put my mind at rest and mean that I can start to fill my diary for Sept - at present I've blocked off a large chunk of the month while all this is being sorted out but I might not be able to do this for much longer!!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Julia,

Yes one of your very helpful and friendly colleagues contacted me after lunch and I am now booked to go on the Travelsphere Tales of the Balkan Peninsula tour in Sept! I am very much looking forward to this tour, as it visits six countries over two weeks! It's great that 9 dinners are included and that there are already two other single travellers booked, so I'm very happy I'll have company at mealtimes! I'll ask nearer the time as to how bookings are going etc but in the meantime I can now get on with looking forward to this holiday! I will, of course, write a review when I get back. This will be my first proper experience of Travelsphere as a single traveller - I did go with TS to South America a couple of years ago, but I also travelled with a friend!

Many thanks for all your help, it has been invaluable!

Best wishes,

Bob
