Is it just me or is there any one else out there who has problems logging on to the community? I have to log on and then go back to the home page and click on to the community again. If I log on as usual then even though the message says I am logged on it goes back to 'guest' and I can't post anything. This happens even if I have not logged out. Like today, I did not log out and visited the community again to post a thread about 'travel to the USA' and even though I got the message 'welcome back Jaya' it would not let me post anything till I had gone back to home page and back again. Hope this makes sense - it just about does to me!!

It's a new one on me but I would be interested in hearing if anyone else is having these problems.

Can I ask a couple of questions...

1. Are you using a desktop PC or a tablet and

2. What browser are you using (explorer, firefox, safari, chrome, something else)?

If we know these we can try and replicate the problem.

I never log out, always come back to the page. A few weeks ago ,I had to look up my password as I had been logged out. This happened several times then reverted back to normal. Not had any problems since, famous last words :P

I still have this problem on the iPad I never log out but I have to log in every time and re enter user name and password every time...boring!!!!

This may seem obvious, and the answer could well be, "of course I have stupid", but if you are using Safari or Mercury (Firefox for the iPad), have you got the settings to save passwords?

There doesn't seem to be any logic to this problem - my iPad stays logged in all the time. Perhaps it's because I check it almost every hour........! #addictedtoJY

Like you I check here and there through out the day but if I go AWOL for over 5 mins it kicks me out and I have to sign in again!!! But then again perhaps JY are trying to get rid of me!!!!

What happens overnight when I assume you sleep? Do you have to re log in, in the morning?

No- I'm not sad enough to check the forum through the night (although if Julia started a night shift I might!!). I just open it again in the morning and go straight in, already signed in. I don't understand how or why but am very grateful for it.

I have not been able to log on as my password kept being rejected so I have now reregistered under a variation of my name.

I am using a laptop and never log out so every time I look at the JY website I go straight on it. A thought does occur to me 'At the bottom of the Community Main Page is a section marked Board Statistics 'Who's Online'...if I don't log off does this show me as being permanently on line, because I'm not, I do do other things

Steve if you go up to your user cp section topish part of the page click on that it will bring your profile up then go to bottom left hand side and click view profile it will say how long you have been on line that might let you know if it's still counting you logged online!!
