Hi

I am looking at the Inspirational China at Christmas and New Year trip and have a few questions before I finally make my choice.

On My last trip to Asia I suffered from travel sickness on the roads in India - and found the longest trip I could cope with was about 1 1/2 hours non motorway.

What are the longest trips by coach on this tour ?

Are there many long trips on a single day ? (It seems not but best to check)

Are the coaches more European standard (the Indian ones were a bit basic) ?

Is water provided in the hotels and on the coaches ?

Is there a more detailed itinerary for this tour ?

What airline do you use for the international travel ?

Do you have many bookings yet ?

What is the average size group for this tour ?

Has anyone done this tour before - and if so how did you find the amount of travel vs time spent at the various locations ?

Sorry for so many questions but it is as important for me not to ruin others holiday as well as not to ruin my own - I know how awful it is when a traveller is not well !

Many thanks

Julia

Hi Zoomiezoidie,

Sorry for the delayed response - my colleague in our overseas services team was making sure all the information I provided was as accurate as possible to help with your decision.....

I can understand your concerns given your previous experiences so I do hope the information below is of use.

This is a very busy and full on tour. Transportation between each of the sights in each city is by coach so there are some days for example in Chengdu where you will board the coach in the morning and be on and off all day as you visit the sights. The length of time spent on the coach is subject to any traffic delays but there are a couple of occasions on the trip where a single journey is about 2 hours (such as when you have visited the LingYun Temple expected time to depart is about 3pm and you are scheduled to arrive back at the hotel at 5pm - this may take longer if the roads are busy).

The coaches themselves are executive and/or standard coaches throughout the trip but do not have toilets.

Water is available but there may be a charge in some hotels and on the coaches.

For international travel we use Air China.

There are currently 6 confirmed travellers on this date, one additional traveller provisionally booked and we can take up to 35 travellers.

In terms of an itinerary, I'd recommend the brochure (if you have a copy) or the itinerary page on the website a

Inspirational China is one of our popular tours, hopefully one of our past travellers will be able to share their experiences with you too.

Kindest regards,

Julia
