Hi Julia

Having finally been told by work when I can book a holiday, I now need to make a decision on where to go. I think I've narrowed my choice down to either 13th May 2014 Canadian Rockies & Vancouver or 17th May Slovenia mountains & coast. Could you please let me know how many people are booked on each, age range & mix & how many places are left?

Also do you have a rough idea how much the optional excursions are in Canada?

Kind regards

Hazel

Hi Hazel,

At the moment the numbers for these trips are as follows:

13th May - Canadian Rockies & Vancouver

There are 18 travellers currently booked (4 men, 14 women) with ages mid(ish)-forties to mid-nineties. We can accommodate up to 40 travellers on this trip.

17th May - Slovenia Mountains & Coast

There are 7 travellers currently booked( all women) with ages from late-fifties through to mid-seventies.

In terms of the Optional Excursions for Canada, these are being priced at the moment and I should be able to give you them in the next couple of weeks.

Kindest regards,

Julia

I don't want to put you off going to Canada on 13 May, Hazel, but I did this trip last June (starting on the 11th) and our TM and driver told us that only a fortnight before we got there some of the roads we went along were still blocked by snow. When we arrived in Banff and Jasper the local authorities and hotels were only just planting up their flower beds and hanging baskets.

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday but if it had been any earlier I suspect we wouldn't have been able to see nearly as much as we did. If you have to take a holiday in May I would suggest that you have a better chance to getting good weather in Slovenia.

Good luck, whichever way you decide to go.

Hi Ann

Thanks for the information and very useful review, still haven't quite decided where to go!

Julia, I've just found that Travelsphere do a Treasures of Jordan tour departing 12th May. Could you tell me how many people are booked for this date and if any are booked as single travellers?

Also how far in advance are the Tour Managers allocated to each tour?

Many thanks

Julia

Hi hjb,

Travelsphere does do a Treasures of Jordan tour. The 12th May departure currently has 23 travellers booked and it looks like three are booked as solo travellers.

In terms of Tour Managers, we have an agreement in place that we will have allocated tour managers at least 12 weeks in advance, for some tours they may be allocated sooner.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Jordan is amazing, the whole trip was packed and I loved it. It had Cairo and the Sinai with it back in 2010. I agree with Canada, back in 1982 we could not go on Maid of the Mist at Niagara due to the ice flows coming over the Falls. That was the end of May.

That is one of the problems with holidays- you can never tell on the weather :P
