I've been informed that we instruct all Tour Managers to have mobiles and to ensure they are contactable by travellers at all times.
If you have encountered a Tour Manager who has not provided this, please could you let me know as we would like to follow it up.

I am not saying that I have encountered any tour managers who do not carrying a mobile or in theory are not contactable at all times. However, it is a case of how they are available.
I know of a case where someone who had a problem at night and there was a delay due to the hotel reception being reluctant and slow to contact the tour manager.
On my last holiday I had a problem with the lock being faulty when I returned to my room at night. I did not make any attempt to contact the tour manager as I am an experienced traveller and dealt with it myself. Had it have been a real emergency it could have been a problem as none of the staff spoke English!
On one of the tours I was on the manager gave out his local mobile number and explained in detail how to contact it from a UK or local mobile. I thought this was excellent.
I think my suggestion would increase the safety of your clients
