Keen on seeing some good City Breaks.

Well, the cost of flights, hotels and coaches go up every year... usually by quite a few percent. We do work really hard to negotiate the best possible rates for our single rooms though.

What we have tried to do is make sure there is something for everyone's budget - so we have a few new UK tours as well as some short European breaks too.

Hi Will,

A tour similar to Travelsphere's South American Explorer visiting Peru and Brazil is what I'm hoping to see. I'd planned to do this next year but there are no dates for 2014 on the Travelsphere website.

Lois

we have something similar, but not exactly the same!

I just hope that there are some new tours in the school summer holidays - and flying from Manchester!!! Not very likely if previous brochures are anything to go on.

Hi Anne,

we have extended ou range of dedicated Manchester departures on our Long Haul tours - there will be double the amount that we had this year.

With regards to school holidays, we certainly do have some but I'm not sure how many we have been able to secure off the top of my head.

I'm off on a cruise from Rome to Venice at the end of this month and whilst I'm not wishing my holiday to pass quicly, I am looking forward to getting the new brochure as I hope to do two JY holidays next year.

I would like to see this year's one off to Cambodia and the Mekong to be repeated. Hardly a one off then but you did ask. I may consider TS but would prefer not to.

I love Asia so more trips here would get my attention, places more off the beaten track. So like Bob, Nepal and Indonesia would appeal to me. How about Burma? A tour in the interior of Turkey. Apparently the countryside is beautiful. I would like to go to Israel some day too.

Bring it on!

Angie

Hi Angie,

the Cambodia & Mekong tour isn't in, but something better (in many people's opinion) is!

I'm hoping that of the 26 new ones there will be something for everyone...!

Hi Will

I am really hoping for US for last 2 weeks in Feb!!!! I know there are other destinations available but I do not have a desire to visit them. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ann

Hi Ann,

there probably won't be any new tours for late Feb to the US going into this brochure I'm afraid. There are only so many places that you can do a decent tour to in the winter so we are a bit limited by circumstances.

Hi Will,

Exciting times! As I've told you previously I think I'm sorted for next year, but I will be scouring the new brochure and reading up on all the new tours to find inspiration for 2015! You've done us proud with 26 new tours, can't wait to read all about them!

If I had a free hand in deciding new tours (and I know JY have done some of these in past years), I'd go for Tanzania with Zanzibar add-on, Namibia, Ethiopia, Uganda/Rwanda for gorilla trekking, Nepal, Malaysia, a JY version of the Travelsphere Indonesia, Peru/Amazon, Croatia/Monenegro/Ablania and Patagonia tours, the Baltic countries and a longer Russia tour. Think that'll do for now, I need to get back to work!!

I hope you get a great reaction to the new tours as I know they are the result of a lot of hard work on your behalf and the rest of the team,

Cheers,

Bob

some cracking ideas in there Bob! there are a couple in there that we are already looking at for 2015 in fact!

Hi Will,

PLEASE put Kerala back on for 2014 - I can't make it for this year, but desperately want to go to Southern India as I have done Northern India with you, and I know I am not the only one who wants to go to Kerala!

Cheers,

Hils

Hi Hils and Jaya,

Kerala isnt currently on the plan I'm afraid. It's something we are looking at for 2015 though

Oh Will !! Just give us a list so we can start planning !!!

I don't want to book anything if there is going to be something else worth waiting for.

I am really looking forward to some new destinations.

Hi Will thanks for the feedback and delighted to hear that some might be in the pipeline for 2015, I'll have to wait till Sept 2014 to book any though as I want to have the full schedule to make the best choice! Another question for you - I'm hoping to do Australia and New Zealand over the next five years all being well and will the Dubai stopover be continued for Australia: it is in the current brochure for 2014 but not on the website? It would make me more likely to do it sooner rather than later if it was as it seems more exciting than Singapore! Also will the Cook Islands add-on (which also appeared briefly and then disappeared again on the website)for NZ be brought back? That would definitely move NZ up my list a few places!

Thanks again for your helpfulness and feedback, we all really appreciate it!

Cheers,

Bob

Well, it was worth a try!! The price (no pun intended) of living in a westernised democracy (HA!) people get poorer, prices go up. Looking forward to some good UK breaks, Scotland, Norfolk/East Coast, would be good! Wales if we must. :shy:

Will,

You should be in the Secret Service!!!

How long do you have to keep these holidays secret? Do you ever give anyone more than strong hints before the brochure actually appears?

I sincerely hope there will be more direct flights from Manchester ~~ it's such a hassle staying overnight at HR/GW if we arrive late at night.

Promise not to grumble (too much) if there aren't too many more.

Keep up the good work. We love you, really.

Denise.

Will there be any new destinations for late Feb? If not I can start looking for an alternative, as I like to go away these 2 weeks in winter. I know Travelsphere have a few destinations to choose from, but would have to hope other singles are on any trip.

Kind regards

Ann

Will,

Another really looking forward to seeing the new brochure, even though I have only been doing the JY holidays for 2/3 years and there are still 10-12 of the current holidays that I really want to do. Have currently got the Canyons LBH booked for October and was going to book the Vietnam and Cambodia trip for next year, but now interested in what else there might be in that area from your comments above. There are a lot of your European (esp Italy) tours that I have my eye on and I know you are adding to these. Very pleased to see your comment about more holidays in the UK, if I hadn't been going to the US in October I would have liked to do the Yorkshire walking holiday in October - currently planning on doing that next year.

Hi Will

It will be great to have Kerala included in 2015. I will definitely book it. I already have a couple of holidays in mind for next year, but am going to wait and see what is on offer in the new brochure before booking anything. Am already so excited.....!
