Hi!

Could you please let me know if all bedrooms at the hotel In Mijas have balconies, or should I request one?

Thanks.

Denise

Hi Denise,

I have been told that:

All rooms at the TRH Mijas have a balcony. Standard rooms have a French balcony (no space to sit out) and superior rooms have a balcony with a table and two chairs.

I hope this information help,

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Denise,

I did this holiday three years ago (my first JY!) and just be careful - one lady let the door close behind her and was stuck on the balcony for around an hour one night! Thankfully someone eventually heard her and alerted reception. So be warned!

This is a lovely holiday, with interesting excursions so enjoy! Be sure to do Gibraltar and Alhambra, both very much worth it.

All the best,

Bob

Hi Julia,

I am going there on 16th September. What standard of rooms has Justyou booked at that hotel?

So looking forward to having some sunshine........hopefully!

Hi Rae,

We have traditionally been allocated standard rooms, but we are in the process of changing this and I understand (and this should not be taken as gospel) that future departures, where possible, will now occupy superior rooms. I would recommend speaking with one of our holiday advisors in a couple of weeks, to confirm whether or not this will apply to your departure.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hiya,

Thanks to Julia and Bob for the information on this trip.

I'll certainly be making the trip to Alhambra but Gibraltar? I don't know, haven't heard very good reports of this.

Denise

Thank you, Julia. Hopefully that will be the case but will take your advice and ask later.

Thanks Denise for bringing up the subject of balconies. If you are prepared then it is not a disappointment if there isn't one.

Enjoy your holiday.

Hi Denise,

As I've just mentioned on another post, I loved the trip to Gibraltar - one of my highlights on this tour. But I found the Alhambra disappointing - empty rooms some of which had nice tile designs and pretty gardens but that was it. I preferred the bit of free time we had to explore Grenada that day!

So I'd say definitely do Gibraltar but if I was going again, I'd give the Alhambra a miss!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Denise

I found the trip to Gibraltar interesting - obviously nothing beats Alhambra. My thinking is to try and see all there is on offer as you never know if and when you will get a chance to go back. The caves were interesting and so were the apes!!
