Hi! I am interested in either Route 66 or the Florida trip next year. Could you tell me if on the Route 66 trip at least some of the journey is along parts of the original route (maybe like the roadway shown on page 116 advertising the holiday), or do we travel along modern highways all the time stopping at the cities mentioned.

I would also like to know if it's possible (depending on which holiday I decide on) to make my own arrangements to fly to Toronto to visit relatives a week before hand and also sort out a flight from there to either Chicago (Route 66) or Orlando (Florida) to meet up with the Tour Manager and the rest of the group either at the airport or hotel. If this was possible would there be a reduction on the holiday price to allow for not travelling with J.Y. on the flight out outward flight.

Yes you stop off at the cities mentioned but when travelling between them you visit many small traditional route 66 towns, meet some charactors, a few museums, diners, etc. Yes most of the journey is on modern highways but thats because a lot of the origional road isn't there, in parts you do go along the origional road.

You need to phone JY and ask about discounts if you arrange your own flights, i know a couple of people in our group did this.

Good afternoon,

Thanks for getting in touch, I can confirm the tour does follow parts of the original Route 66, the picture shown in the brochure is part of this.

In regards to your flight arrangements, we are very flexible, requests like this however have to be handled via our contact centre so if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call,

I hope this helps,

Kindest,

Ben
