Hi Margaret and Pat,
Glad we are all staying at 15 Bath Road. Look forward to meeting you.Have you or anyone else had advice about malaria tablets? I saw my practice nurse on Monday who said the only risk might be in Hue and as we are only there for one night she thought as long as I used deet and covered up in the evening malaria tablets were not necessary.I have noted on the community website that people are getting various advice but some have said that lots of people have gone without taking tablets.
Eileen

hi Eileen .Like you have spoken to the practice nurse who seemed relunctant to give specific advice . She did however advise that at my big local Asda which has a pharmacy attached I could get the malaria tablets a lot cheaper without the need to pay for the 15 pound prescription charge from the doctors surgery. do not know if this is a help to you. I have my Visa back great it now seems very real !!!

Hi Margaret,
Cost of tablets does not worry me. It is the effect some seem to have. Debbie who is the guide on the December trip as well as ours has given some advice on her column about lack of malaria in areas visited in Vietnam. I have asked her about Cambodia.I have lots of deet and hope that will be sufficient. have been in Madeira so was only able to post my visa forms and passport on Friday. Have had a text to say normally 35 days but may be longer due to the time of year. However still plenty of time.So excited about the holiday and will be good to meet up with Pat and you the evening before.Have a happy Christmas.
