Have received my final paperwork for Andalucia 16th Nov. Probably a daft question but it says passport details must be entered on line prior to check in. Is that just if you have hand luggage only?

Hi Dawn

If your paperwork says you should enter passport details online then I would do that, whether you are checking in bags or only taking hand luggage.

It might be that this only applies if you want to check in online - I would read the details again and make sure.

If you are still in doubt, give us a ring and our holiday advisors will be able to check the details for you.

Kind regards

Hi

Most European countries seem to ask for this information with the exception of Germany. I think it came in post 9-11.

Also I noticed using Easyjet that your passport number is printed on the boarding pass that you print. I noticed that staff were checking the passport number matched with the boarding pass.

I checked with customer services and yes if travelling with Easyjet or BMI passport details have to be entered onto their website prior to check-in.

It is not clear on the paperwork so the helpful gentleman I spoke to is going to look into making that clearer. I thought it only referred to passengers with hand luggage only and on-line check-in and as I'm not eligible to check in on-line I was going to ignore it.
