I am having problems getting a travel plug converter for China. I've been told they use 3 types of plugs and I can get a global adaptor from Maplins but not a voltage converter. Can anyone helpp lease?

Hi Skipper

A universal adaptor is a good idea, and you'll be able to use it when you travel in future as well.

You won't need a voltage converter as China has a similar voltage to our own of 220-240 volts.

Hi Skipper & Olly,

I have just come back from the Wonder of China trip.

Daniel Adams told me to take the Continental style adaptor - but the one with the smaller 2 round pins - and also the one for Australia etc. with the 2 flat pins that can be moved. Different adaptors for different areas.

I did this and everything was fine.

Hope this helps.
