I have a story (poem) to submit, but the tour selector of the application doesn't appear to be working, so its not allowing me to post it?

To post your story you'll first need to attach the tour to your profile. To do this, go into 'My Account' and enter your tour code. The tour will then appear as an option when you post your poem.
