Hi Olly,

I really want to take the plunge and book this trip on Sept 13th but I am so nervous. Are you able to tell me if there are other people already booked on it from Heathrow? Also, whilst in L.A. would I have time to take a trip to Laurel Canyon, Venice Beach and maybe even spend the evening at the Whisky-A-Go-Go? That is one reason for my trip, to see these particular places.

Hello firedance21c, I have looked into this trip and there are 30 people that have already booked with 10 places remaining. 22 of those 30 people are travelling from Heathrow, so an overwhelming majority.

As for visiting other places whilst on your holiday, you have complete freedom to go wherever you like, whenever you like. You are not committed to go on all of the excursions and tours that have been planned for you, and you can spend your time however you wish. This means that if you happen to travel near anywhere that is not part of the tour but close to the route, then feel free to visit.

I hope this information has been helpful and if you have any further queries then feel free to email me.

Kind regards

Hello valerieanne, there are now 31 people booked on this trip, with 9 places remaining. Out of the 31 bookings, 8 people are getting the connecting flight from Manchester, so you will not be alone when you fly.

Kind regards

Hi

I am booked on this trip for 13 September - flying from Heathrow. I noticed that a lot of people are asking about Alcatraz and I really want to visit it too. Are you able to provide us with a website to book a tour? Also, I notice that you have said before that we would be able to go to Alcatraz on day 2. Is this am or pm? There are loads of other things that I want to do, especially when I am in L.A. but I will wait until I'm there to see if there are other like minded people that want to explore! I am sooo excited about this trip I want to burst! The reviews seem fab!

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Sorry for the delay - we're having ongoing technical problems at the moment.

The best time to book Alcatraz is early to mid afternoon. You won't want to miss your included city tour in the morning and there is also an optional harbour cruise that departs in late morning, which you may decide to do.

Thanks Olly,

I couldn't seem to book on the website mentioned so have booked with www.alcatraztrips.com instead. I've booked for 14th September at about 2:30pm so I am sure that will give me enough time in the morning to do the tours of San Fran.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Julesy

That sounds like a good plan. It will give you a little time for lunch as well.
