Hi Andy

I do live next to my computer - during working hours at least!

So far 25 people have booked your holiday and the ratio is three women to every man.

Your tour manager will be Greta Taumberger.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hhi Olly,

I am on this trip but have a couple of queries. I am assuming we can pay for the optional excursions with a debit/credit card, but will we need to take Czech currency for the trip to Cesky Krumlov or can we use Euros or exchange currency at the border?

Best wishes,

Lesley

Hello Lesley, yes you will be able to book and pay for excursions while you are there using your debit/credit card without a problem.

As for your day trip to Cesky Krumlov, you are able to exchange currency while you are there. However, if you want to avoid higher exchange rates, you can exchange a small amount at a travel agents before your trip, or withdraw some from a cash point in Cesky Krumlov using your debit or credit card. I do not think you will need a large amount exchanging.

Just so you know, the currency used in Cesky Krumlov is the Czech Koruna.

I hope this information has been helpful, and if you have any other queries then feel free to email me.

Kind regards

Hi James,

Thank you for the information. I have been to the Czech Republic before but for longer than a day, but I will get a small amount of currency before I go. I can always change it back if I do not use all of it.

Best wishes,

Lesley

Hi Olly,

Further to my previous queries (which James replied to) I have just received my final holiday information and there are some differences to the brochure - namely excursions which were optional now appear to be included (e.g. St. Wolfgang and Southern Bohemia). Is this a change from the original brochure?

Also, regarding the use of credit/debit cards to pay for the optional excursions (which James said was acceptable) it would appear that this is not the case and these can only be paid for in cash. However, it also says in the final information that the 2 optional excursions can be pre-booked in the UK but at least 5 days before departure (could these be paid for by credit/debit card?).

Could you enlighten me please?

I realise there are lots of problems i.e. volcanic ash affecting flights, which are more pressing at the moment, but would appreciate some ideas as to what is best.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we actually get away to Austria.

Best wishes,

Lesley

Hi Lesley,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I've been tracking down the answers.

The excursions you mention are definitely included - I'm told there there was a misprint in the brochure here, but good news as you'll be getting more than you thought.

It isn't possible to pay for excursions with cards while in resort as our staff won't usually have the machines necessary. So in this case, you'll need to pay in euros if you decide to do any of them while you are away. James sends his apologies for giving you the wrong information here.

If you do wish to pay in advance for any optional excursions, you can do so by calling us on 0800 567 7393.

It looks like the volcano crisis has passed now, thank goodness, so have a great trip!

Kind regards,

Hi Olly,

Thanks for the information. Will probably take Euros then. Good news about the extra excursions.

Be happy,

Lesley
