I also went this year and it was indeed truly brilliant. I took 400 Canadian dollars with me which I used to pay for my meals. I hope this helps. What I would say, is do notify your credit card issuer before you go to Canada. I didn't and consequently had both credit cards blocked because of "unusual" activity. Good to know that both issuers were on the ball, but it was a pain having to unblock them.

Eddy Christmas. I too have given myself a  Christ present and loaded a Post Office Travel Card ready for Canadian Rockies in May 2023. Hope you have a great time. Like you I have no idea how much to take on the card.

Hi

Anyone else going on 16 May 2023? Like you Witty I am doing similar cards and cash. Not sure what clothes, footwear needed for May. I have applied for my visa and it is electronic linked to my passport. Going to have a taxi to the airport, expensive but easiest way from where I live. Travel insurance was hefty for me due to health issue anyway all done I think.

Happy New Year

Thank you so much, I go a week today. Quite nervous but excited. Lots of wild fire in Alberta and BC with some evacuations. Really don't know what to pack as high temperatures at present. I haven't heard from anyone who is going on the same trip which is disappointing. Maybe we can swap holiday tales when we are both back. Bon Vacance.

That was one of the best holidays I went on, the food was cooked on the Rocky Mountains train, it was better that a top restaurant, the staff were lovely, I would have like to have had more days on it,
