Hi Polly,

This is a tour I'd really like to do over the next few years, all being well.  It gets great reviews, but please do write one on your return!

Have a brilliant time,

Bob

Hello Polly,

Done this tour in 2013. Great fun with all forms of transport and 4 countries. Threw snowballs up one mountain and wore T shirts in other places.

Hi Polly and Jan

I get that we should pack layers of clothing but my main concern is what footwear to take; any advice please Jan? I wouldn't want to wear walking boots or heavy footwear every day unless it is really necessary, but I realize we are going at a funny time of year when the weather and conditions will be variable. 😕

Regards,

Wherenext!

Hello Wherenext!

I had a pair of walking boots by Merrell, good soles, not heavy which I wore everywhere except in the evening when I went into normal shoes. Heels are out- some ladies thought they would be ok, rare that there is flat ground- lots of hills and stairs onto buses, boats and coaches.

Many thanks, that is very helpful. I gave up heels a long time ago so no worries there!
