Hi

My name is Jane and I am going to New Zealand in October. This will be second trip with Just You and am really looking forward to it.

I live in Dorset and the outward flight is scheduled for 9.25 am. I have booked a local taxi to take me to Heathrow and will mean a very early start.

Is there anyone on this trip travelling from the South West with whom I can communicate the possibility of sharing a lift either being picked up or coming with me. I live in Cerne Abbas. It could be that someone may travel the day before and stay overnight which I will also consider.

I am also wondering what clothing to take as I am thinking we will be travelling from a warm climate to a much colder climate in the South.

Hope to hear from someone soon :shy:

kind regards

Jane

Hello Jane,

I am also going with you. I check the weather on Google by just typing, weather in October in NZ. It will give you some idea. We are given information about the warm clothes in excursion detailed sheets. If you have a weather app, check the weather in Auckland etc a week before we leave. Once on tour, I always check the weather for the next day so I know what I should wear.

Hello Jane,

I am debating hotel or travel overnight on National Coach which will get me in at 4.30 am. I guess we have to be there 3 hours before so I will not have long to wait. The only problem with a hotel is having to leave at 6am ish to get to the Terminal. Taking a mixture of clothes as it will be Spring out there. Taking woolies as aim to go up on the helicopter to the Glacier. My daughter went in July - their Winter and it was 20 degrees and rain. The only time she wore a jumper was on Fox Glacier.

A lady who lived in New Zealand told me to buy silk when I was in Singapore as it is both warm and cold to wear.
